Artistic value
“Torn Identity” distils the question running through the whole series: how is a face built between several heritages? Vertical red and yellow bands, filled with Arabic letters, split the portrait like torn posters, while the drips carry the gesture beyond the drawing. Between the realism of the face and the energy of graffiti, the work turns fracture into a visual language rather than a loss.
