Artistic value
A break within the series, this square format leaves the circular composition behind for broad horizontal bands of blue, red, yellow and green. A few Arabic letters, isolated and enlarged, float across them like autonomous signs. The work explores the letter as a coloured form in its own right, on the border of lyrical abstraction.
