Artistic value
In a range of greys, rings of calligraphy overlap and then come apart: the last letters break away and seem to sink towards the bottom of the canvas. “Drowning of Words” plays on the tension between the order of the circle and the fall, between what is written and what is lost. A sober, poetic work on the fragility of language.
